- For a beginning programmer, I wouldn't so much worry about
- the specific language, but the concept of actual programming.
- Once that is figured out, then any language is a matter of
- reading a manual for syntax.

- I'd focus on some simple procedural programming, so use a
- simple, procedural language. I would think C should do
- nicely. Be sure to turn all the warnings on for compiles
- and go for it.

- Learn & enjoy. Do, however, go outside from time to time and
- get some sun & fresh air. I work with some people that lived
- computers since they were born, and they are the biggest geeks.
